Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular

Inspired by the blockbuster movie The Greatest Showman, this circus spectacular will simply blow your mind. From the moment you walk in you are transported into the theatrical world of the circus and the film.

Set in a big top tent in Earls Court, Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular is everything you would expect it to be and so much more. As you arrive, you walk through the fully immersive Empress Museum with lots of quirky props, costumes, pictures and actors. The attention to detail is simply quite remarkable with mini sets and photo opportunities. With so much to see before the show even starts, I’d advise to arrive as soon as it opens to get the most out of the experience.

The cast, lead by West End super star Simon Bailey and recent graduate of the London School of Musical Theatre Aaliya Mai, are sensational. This piece is an original story based on The Greatest Showman with the famous movie soundtrack. The music and the acts work well together and with so much going on around you, you won’t know where to look. The vocalists Jason Brock, Jaz Ellington, Charlotte-Hannah Jones, Whitney Martins and Fallon Mondlane are all dressed as iconic circus characters and are all incredible. The vocals and effortless harmonies are breath taking.

The action goes on around you and you feel included and part of the show. The story feels a little flimsy, but honestly I don’t think it matters as the International circus performers make up for it. With jaw dropping performances from the jugglers, trapeze artists, aerialists, fire performers and dancers, I challenge you to find a better line up. As you would expect, the main tent is in the round and although there are 700 seats it doesn’t feel massive which makes for a lovely intimate evening.  Unlike most theatrical venues I can honestly say I think where ever you sit you will simply have the time of your life.

Whether you are a fan of the movie or not it makes for the perfect date night or family outing. The performers dedicate their lives to their acts and to the circus and when you see the level of talent this show has to offer, it will blow you away.
